The duke of Sussex Harry has finally given his statement over his decision of becoming independent.
Prince Harry said, “there was no other option”, “taking a leap of faith” in stepping back from his royal lifestyle.
Prince Harry said while talking at an event yesterday, Prince Harry and Meghan said that they would keep serving the Queen, but not with public finding.
He said, “Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible,”
Although the couple announced yesterday their decision, they made it clear that both were not walking away.
Prince said, “The UK is my home and a place that I love, that will never change,”
Prince was giving a speech at a fund-raising reception. He said, “I can only imagine what you may have heard and perhaps read over the past few weeks.
“So I want you to hear the truth from me as much as I can share, not as a prince or a duke but as Harry.”
He also assured “the utmost respect for my grandmother, my commander in chief”.
“Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible,”
“I’ve accepted this, knowing that it doesn’t change who I am or how committed I am.”
Note that the Queen had agreed on the deal and had allowed Prince Harry and Meghan to become independent.
