US President Donald Trump said that the cases of COVID-19 were “leveling off”. He said that he witnessed “light at the end of the tunnel”.

The international news agency stated that a decrease in the number of new cases was seen on Sunday in New York, coronavirus is leveling off.

Note that there are 337, 274 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US.

Donald Trump explained the decrease as a “good sign”. However, he also threatened that more deaths can be reported as coronavirus reached its peak in the US.

During a daily press briefing, the president said, “In the days ahead, America will endure the peak of this pandemic,”

He also informed that more medical supplies and personnel will be provided to the states when necessary. 

A member of the President’s coronavirus task force Deborah Birx said that decreasing the number of new cases and deaths in Italy and Spain in recent days was “giving us hope on what our future could be”.

“We’re hopeful over the next week that we’ll see a stabilization of cases in these metropolitan areas where the outbreak began several weeks ago,”

On the other hand, the Us Surgeon General Jerome Adams reported to the international news that this will be “the hardest and the saddest week of most Americans’ lives”.

“This is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11 moment,”

Governor Andrew Cuomo reported 594 new deaths on Sunday. Over 4,159 people have died of COVID-19 so far.
