In Dubai the Al Wahda mall is going to reopen and the shoppers are reminding to observe the social distancing and follow safety measures to help the curb.
However, the customers must wear the masks and gloves before entering to the mall, but those of 60 years old and kids below the age of 12 years would not be allowed to go inside the mall. Moreover, all common areas as well as the prayer rooms would remain closed.
However, the occupancy is limited about 30% of the original capacity while parking is limited to the 50%. As the mall is reopening with the guidelines to be followed and it is the responsibility for everyone to take safety measures rolled out by the Department of Health and Department of Economic Development.
The timing of the mall would be opening from 12pm to 9pm, however, essential outlets like groceries will be open from 8am to 10pm. Pharmacies and money exchange houses’ operating hours will be from 9am to 10pm.
Further, the food outlets would be operational from the timing schedule 12pm to 9pm whereas would partly available in the day for take-away only (12pm – Iftar time).
“We are working closely with the authorities to maintain the highest possible standard of safe shopping environment within the mall. We want to ensure the health and safety of all our shoppers, partners and co-workers and will amend new measures as per the guidelines received,” said Navaneeth Sudhakaran, general manager of Al Wahda Mall.
