Meghan Markle tried to fill the shoes of Harry’s late mother, claims Colin Campbell

In a controversial book “Meghan and Harry: The Real Story”, the author Lady Colin Campbell claimed that Meghan Markle tried to outshine late Lady Diana, who was also known as the People’s Princess.

The aristocrat reportedly discussed in her book the motive of Prince Harry and Meghan leaving the Royal Family and placing behind them the responsibilities which come with it.

The 70-year-old described their sudden change as ‘terribly sad’ in conversation with New magazine, before implying that former actress Meghan is the brains behind the extraordinary decision.

Campbell went on to claim that the Meghan tried her best to outshine Harry’s dear mother before claiming he was ‘a lot less smart’ than his other half.

“I believe that if Harry had married anyone else, he would still be a member of the royal family and I believe Meghan’s ambition was always to outshine Diana.”

She continued,

“Meghan’s ambition has always been to outshine Diana, but I think she’s gravely misread the situation. She thought sheer hype would get her into LA, where she could become the great star she always wanted to be.”

Lady C also said,

“But I don’t think it will happen for her. I really think she’ll struggle to fulfill her ambition.”

For her latest novel, the former ‘I’m A Celeb’ host has made several derogatory statements about Meghan, including the Duchess being disrespectful to guests at Harry’s best friend’s wedding.
