Lebanese Information Minister resigns over Beirut tragedy
Lebanon’s Information Minister Manal Abdel Samad has resigned over the Beirut tragedy.
According to details, the country’s Information Minister Manal Abdel Samad resigned from her post, acknowledging her failures after the horrific bombing in Lebanon.
“I announce my resignation from the government in aftermath of the Beirut tragedy and I apologize to the Lebanese people for my failure,” Manal said in a statement.
The resigned female information minister, Manal Abdel Samad, added: “I had informed the prime minister of my decision before I resigned.
Earlier, Foreign Minister of the country had tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Hassan Diab, saying he was resigning as there was no clear strategy to pull the country out of the crisis.
Foreign Minister added, “Lebanon is no longer the Lebanon we wanted, the one we wanted to see as an example and a beacon of light. I ask myself, like many other citizens.
