The United Arab Emirates has announced further details on the issuance of a “Golden” visa for ten years.

UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced in a tweet on Sunday that a ten-year residence visa would be available on the basis of various professions and educational qualifications.

He announced in his tweets that a ten-year golden visa is being announced for those doing PhD in the UAE. In addition, Golden Visas will be issued to those who obtain a GPA of more than 3.8 in UAE-approved universities.

According to the details released by the government, people belonging to these categories will be issued resident golden visas for ten years.

Those who complete their PhD from the world’s 500 largest universities will be eligible to receive a Golden Visa.

The UAE government has also decided to issue golden visas to doctors in view of the recent epidemic situation. According to Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid, golden visas will be issued to them, especially to virologists.

Engineers in the fields of computer, electronics, programming, electrical, electronics, active technology, artificial intelligence and big data will also have this facility.

Professionals with a GPA of more than 3.8 at approved universities can also obtain a Golden Visa.

Researchers and scientists from various fields have also been announced to be given ten-year residence visas. Scientists seeking a visa must obtain approval from the Emirati Scientist Council. In addition, those who receive the Muhammad bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Services will also be eligible for the Golden Visa.
It is also being offered to inventors of approved inventions.

Golden Visas have also been announced for creative people from the arts and culture sectors. For cultural and artistic activities, applicants for this Golden Visa must obtain approval from the UAE Ministry of Culture and Education Development.

Foreigners who invest 10 million dirhams in the UAE will also be given a ten-year golden visa. Under this scheme, Golden Visas have been issued to several Indian, Pakistani and Arab investors.

In addition, in the Entrepreneur category, a person running a business plan approved by a UAE incubator with a capital value of 500,000 dirhams can obtain a five-year visa. Similarly, students with a 95% score or 3.75 GPA in graduation from a government or private secondary school or university in their home country or abroad and their families will be able to obtain a five-year visa.
