Biden Inauguration: Lady Gaga Sings American National Anthem At Ceremony

Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Lady Gaga took the stage and sang the national anthem of America during the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

What Happened In The Past?

Musical performances were held in the past as well. In 2009, Aretha Franklin performed at Barack Obama’s inauguration. Beyonce performed at Obama’s inaugural ball.

President Obama called on Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson at the second inauguration in 2013. Beyonce sang the national anthem.

However, Elton John had declined the offer to perform during Donald Trump’s inauguration. Reports say that Celine Dion, Kiss, and Garth Brooks did the same. Rockettes, country artist Lee Greenwood, and the band 3 Doors Down performed.
