The road security forces of Saudi Arabia said that the visibility on the highway was severely affected due to the dust storm.
According to the reports, the agency has instructed drivers to “postpone travel on the highway.”
The Saudi National Meteorological Center released a forecast for climate change in the kingdom on Wednesday (March 24th).
The National Center has said that dust storms are likely to blow on Wednesday as well as on Tuesday. The speed of a dust storm will be more than 55 kilometers per hour.
In front of Hail and Tabuk, the front view will disappear from sight. The storms will spread to the northern parts of the eastern region.
Dusty winds will limit visibility in Makkah and Madinah regions. The coastal areas of both areas will be enveloped in dusty winds. In addition, dust storms will blow in Al-Jouf, Hudud Shamaliyah, Al-Qassim and Riyadh.
The National Center expects temperatures to rise in most parts of the country on Wednesday. The highest temperature will be 43 degrees Celsius in Makkah and the lowest will be 13 degrees Celsius in Tarif.
