From the first day of their invasion, Russian soldiers encountered heavy resistance from the Ukrainian army. The Russians have incurred enormous fatalities while attempting to achieve any of their military objectives. The Ukrainian military believes that nearly 14,000 Russian soldiers have died, whereas the US thinks that just half of that number has died.

Reports from Belarusian hospitals present a bleak picture of Russian fatalities, both in terms of the number of dead and those suffering horrible injuries.

Eyewitnesses informed Radio Liberty that morgues in Mazyr, around 60 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, were “overflowing” with dead.

One local resident said he saw “black bags” being transferred from military ambulances into Russian train cars.

“Passengers at the Mazyr railway station were stunned at the amount of corpses being placed on the train,” he claimed.

The Russian military decided to utilise the cover of night to take their fallen back to their country after someone recorded the loading of bodies onto the trains and uploaded it on the internet.

“Previously, the dead were transferred by ambulances and loaded on Russian trains,” a doctor from one of the city’s largest hospitals revealed.

“After someone created a video about it and it got viral on the Internet, the remains were loaded at night to avoid drawing attention to themselves.”

The severe battle has resulted in horrible injuries and disfigurement for many Russian servicemen.

A citizen of Homel, Belarus, who was treated at Hospital No.4, described having to listen to the screams of injured servicemen.

“There are so many injured Russians there — it’s really a disaster,” they claimed.

According to the Institute for the Study of War’s most recent study, Russia’s advances remained limited to territory gains surrounding Mariupol on March 18.

According to analysts, Ukrainian forces have launched a massive effective counterattack near Mykolayiv in recent days.

They also stated that Vladimir Putin’s army is dealing with “increasing morale and supply issues, including allegations of self-mutilation among Russian troops to escape deployment to Ukraine and shortages of vital guided weapons.”

According to Ukrainian intelligence, roughly 130 members of the 20th Motor Rifle Division (of the 8th Combined Arms Army) refused to deploy to Ukraine and participate in combat operations.

This might be a reference to Russia’s unsuccessful airborne landing at Hostomel during the war’s first 72 hours.
