According to a report, an Olympic gold medalist in rhythmic gymnastics who was long suspected of having twins with Russian President Vladimir Putin has vanished from public view.
Alina Kabaeva, 37, who reportedly gave birth to twin boys in a Moscow clinic in April 2019, has not been seen since she was two months pregnant, according to the Sun.
Putin, who has two adult children with ex-wife Lyudmila Shkrebneva, has maintained that he has no relationship with Kabaeva, a former deputy in his United Russia Party.
“Putin is a deeply private man.” For years, he has been hiding his two adult daughters behind fake IDs,” a Moscow source told the news outlet.
“Even now, though he mentions them now and then, he never names them,” the source added. “If Alina gave birth to his children, her hiding away could be one of the strongest indicators.” He is obsessed with the safety of his family.”
Kabaeva, who once posed semi-naked in a magazine, is the chairwoman of the National Media Group’s board of directors, which recently won an exclusive contract to deliver Netflix content, according to the Sun.
She was the recipient of two Olympic medals, 14 World Championship medals, and 25 European Championship medals.
Rumors about her romance with Russia’s president first surfaced in 2008.
