With the invasion of Ukraine now in its fourth week, Putin has suffered a string of humiliating losses at the hands of Ukrainian opposition, as well as internal signals of discontent. Because of Putin’s paranoia, some Russian FSB operatives have been placed under house arrest in anticipation of a coup against him. The move looked to be retaliation for Western intelligence agencies obtaining and disclosing specific preparations for Russia’s invasion.
