TikTok to allow you to clear your on-screen clutter

TikTok videos are about to become clutter-free in the near future.

Some TikTok users notice a “Clear Mode” option that removes the UI overlay that is often seen on TikTok videos.

TikTok currently has several buttons on the screen for likes, comments, and shares, as well as the uploader’s username and caption.

With a single click, the new Clear Mode option will erase everything.

You can get to it by pressing and holding the play button on a video and then selecting the Clear Mode option from the menu that appears.

When you scroll to the next video, though, the standard UI will return.

TikTok is testing the tool, although it’s unknown how many people have access to it.

However, given that it is available for public testing, it is safe to believe that the feature will eventually be made available to everyone.

We can expect some changes in the final version, such as the option to stay in Clear Mode once you navigate to the next video, because the feature is still in testing.

Many people would find it inconvenient to have to enable Clear Mode for each video they watch.

But, TikTok may change this in the future, but there is no assurance as of now.
