“Country may experience more electrical loadshedding in July,” according to the PM
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, had issued a warning on Monday that the country would experience more loadshedding in the upcoming month of July.

He claimed that although the coalition administration was working to make the agreement viable, Pakistan could not obtain the necessary quantity of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

According to Refinitiv statistics, Pakistan’s monthly fuel oil imports are on track to reach a four-year high in June as the nation struggles to get liquefied natural gas (LNG) for power generation in the midst of a heatwave that is pushing demand.

After failing to reach an agreement on a deal for the delivery of natural gas next month, Pakistan is now dealing with an intensification of its power crisis. Due to high costs and minimal participation, the July tenders were cancelled because the country is already taking steps to address severe outages.
