Former British Home Secretary Suella Braverman has issued a strongly worded resignation letter accusing Rishi Sunak of “betrayal” after being removed from her position in a significant cabinet reshuffle.

Her exit came amid accusations of Metropolitan Police bias in handling pro-Palestine protests. In her resignation, shared on her X feed, Braverman asserted that Sunak had “manifestly and repeatedly failed to deliver” on crucial policies, stating that his “distinctive style of government means you are incapable of doing so.”

She expressed, “Either your distinctive style of government means you are incapable of doing so. Or, as I must surely conclude now, you never had any intention of keeping your promises.”

Sunak appointed former Prime Minister Lord David Cameron as the new Foreign Minister following Braverman’s departure.

The Tory right has hinted at a potential revolt, with suggestions that Braverman’s supporters might submit letters of no confidence, potentially triggering a leadership vote against Sunak.
