In a significant development, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Jawad Sohrab Malik, has inked a vital agreement with NESMA & Partners, a leading contracting company in Saudi Arabia. The agreement, signed at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, opens the door for the export of skilled Pakistani labor to Saudi Arabia.

According to the agreement, tens of thousands of Pakistani workers are set to secure employment opportunities in the kingdom. This teamwork marks a key moment in the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with the shared goal of contributing to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious infrastructure and development initiatives.

NESMA & Partners, recognized as Saudi Arabia’s premier construction firm, has been entrusted with overseeing numerous large-scale projects across the kingdom. The agreement is poised to enable Pakistani workers to demonstrate their skills and play significant roles in the success of critical infrastructure endeavors.

Jawad Sohrab Malik highlighted the outstanding reputation of Pakistani laborers, underscoring their commitment and diligence. The formal agreement was inked between the Pakistan Overseas Employment Corporation (POEC) and NESMA & Partners. POEC, a governmental body responsible for recruiting and deploying Pakistani workers overseas, collaborates with NESMA & Partners to create substantial employment opportunities for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia.

Beyond job provision, the pact aims to bolster economic relations between the two nations. The signing event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, the Director-General of the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), and the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, alongside community welfare attachés. This collaborative endeavor underscores a shared dedication to promoting cooperation and contributing to the mutual prosperity of both countries.
