Scottish boy stabbed while returning home from Mosque

• Someone stabbed a 13-year-old Pakistani boy in Glasgow’s Queens Park during evening prayers.
• The victim, who was wearing a thobe, was found in a pool of blood.
• Police are investigating the attack using CCTV cameras around the park.

Metro A private the 13-year-old Pakistani boy as he walked home from a mosque in Glasgow’s Queens Park. He was wearing a thobe at the time. Emergency services rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A friend of the victim’s family stated that police are investigating the attack using CCTV cameras located around the park. The family is trying to “spread awareness for anyone who might get into situations like this and to provide justice for him,” said Aleesha Ntayomba.

“The boy suffered severe wounds and sustained cuts on his back and all over his body as he ran to save his life.  “One deep cut went to his lung. A family who spotted him drenched in blood called for the police and an ambulance.

“The boy is in hospital where he will undergo multiple surgeries. He is in severe pain and shock.” Police Detective Sergeant Stephen Palmer stated that the force is conducting “extensive inquiries” to uncover the details of the attack.

“He added that officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and conducting door-to-door inquiries.”

We will maintain a continued police presence in the area, and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.

“We believe the area was busy at the time and I am keen to speak to anyone with any private CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or any other footage that they think would assist the inquiry.”
