Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY.N), a US oil producer, expanded its board to nine members on Friday by adding the former energy minister of the United Kingdom, Claire O’Neill.
O’Neill, 58, left the Conservative Party earlier this month after serving as a member of parliament from 2010 to 2019. She was a cabinet member for Theresa May.
She also served as the COP26 climate summit’s president-designate from July 2019 until Boris Johnson’s administration replaced her in February 2020.
