Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become the most-capped IPL player.

According to the details, the wicket-keeper has played 194 IPL matched and overtook Suresh Raina, Chennai Super King’s teammate, who has played 193 matches.

Last month, both Dhoni and Raina announced their retirement from international cricket.

At the last minute, Raina pulled out of this IPL edition, unlike Dhoni, which is being held in the United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus pandemic.

For the CSK franchise, M.S Dhoni has now played 164 of his 194 matches. The remaining he played for Rising Pune Supergiant.

It should be mentioned here that Dhoni’s leadership has come under criticism this year. On Friday, the CSK, with Dhoni batting in the middle, was run out to David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven runs.

“We have to get a lot of things right. It’s the professionalism — dropping catches, bowling no-balls. We’re making the same mistakes again,” said Dhoni after the match.
