Smart and Micro Lockdown in Central District of Karachi has been extended till January 13, 2021.

According to the details, the micro and smart lockdown in different areas of Central District has been extended till January 13, 2021, in view of the threat of spreading of coronavirus.

Deputy Commissioner Central District has issued the notification and according to the notification, it has been decided to keep the cell in a specific area of ​​Central District for another 14 days.

The notification said that 12 Union Committees of Central District would be closed under micro-smart lockdown in which Azizabad, Aliabad, Karimabad and Yasinabad areas would remain closed.

The notification also said that Dastgir, Nazimabad, Asghar Shah Stadium, Shadman Town areas will be sealed while North Karachi, Muslim Town, Firdous Colony will also be affected by micro-smart lockdown.

The notification further said that certain houses in 17 areas of Central District will be sealed while the Micro Smart Lockdown will remain in force till January 13, 2021.

According to the notification, under the micro-smart lockdown in Karachi’s Central District, people coming and going in these areas will be required to wear masks while the movement of people will be strictly restricted.

The notification said that retail outlets, medical stores and other essentials will be allowed to open within the allotted time as per the previous notification of the Home Department, while home delivery or import of any kind of food will be allowed in these areas. Will not

The notification also stated that industrial and commercial centres in the area would remain closed, while one person in each household would be conditionally allowed to purchase food items and would be required to provide their ID card to law enforcement.

The notification further said that no celebrations of any kind will be allowed in the houses and those who come to meet the residents of the area will have to give a solid reason while the industrial and commercial centres in these areas will remain closed.
