KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh conducted a raid at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Civil Lines office and recovered the civilian who was kidnapped on May 19.
Deputy Inspector General(DIG) CTD said that sub-inspector and ASI of CTD have been arrested while SHO has been suspended while constable and informer are absconding.
He said that the citizen who returned from Iraq was abducted by the CTD officials and demanded 1.5 million for his release and then the matter was settled for 150,000.
According to DIG CTD, plainclothes Rangers paid the money, then uniformed personnel raided and rescued the kidnapped citizen.
He said that a case is being registered against all the officials involved in the kidnapping of the citizen.

Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested the accused who made the objectionable video of a young girl viral on social media.
The spokesperson of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that the accused involved in viralizing objectionable videos of a young girl on social media is also proclaimed offender.
