India may attempt false flag operation: PM warns Int’l community

Prime Minister Imran Khan warns international community that India may attempt false flag operation to divert attention from its domestic chaos plus whip up war hysteria to mobilize Hindu nationalism.

Prime minister reiterated that if India will go to such extent Pakistan will have no option but to give a befitting response.

The Premier took to Twitter and stated “At the same time the siege by Indian Occupation forces in IOJK continues & a bloodbath can be expected when it is lifted. As these protests are increasing, threat to Pak from India is also increasing. Indian Army Chief’s statement adds to our concerns of a False Flag operation.”

He further said “Over the last 5 years of Modi’s govt, India has been moving towards Hindu Rashtra with its Hindutva Supremacist fascist ideology. Now with the Citizens Amendment Act, all those Indians who want a pluralist India are beginning to protest & it is becoming a mass movement.”

Earlier this month, Pakistan Military spokesperson Director General Inter Services Public Relations had also warned India to avoid itself from doing any misadventure or aggression.

In a tweet on Thursday 19 December, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) warned India:

Provocative statements and preparations for escalation along LOC by Indian COAS appear to be an effort as usual to divert world attention from wide spread protests in India against CAB. Pakistan Armed Forces shall befittingly respond to any Indian misadventure or aggression.

DG ISPR continued,”Pakistan Armed Forces shall befittingly respond to any Indian misadventure or aggression.”

Earlier,  Indian Military Chief General Bipin Rawat said situation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir can escalate any time.

He also said India is ready for any escalatory matrix.

He is due to retire on December 31.

India Unrest

India is currently facing widespread protests after the Bharatiya Janata Party passed the controversial CAA. The Act makes it easier for non-Muslims from the neighbouring countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan who settled in India prior to 2015 to gain Indian citizenship.

Thousands of people have protested, saying the law is anti-Muslim and the latest in a series of measures by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist government to marginalise the community. At least six people have died in clashes between protesters and security forces. The government, in order to quell the protests, imposed internet bans and curfews.

Big rallies crowded streets and criticizing the modi administration and demanding to pull back the law.

During the past week of unrest, hundreds of people have been arrested.

Authorities have cut the internet in some flashpoint areas and banned large gatherings in others.

Police have fired tear gas, also accused of beating protesters.

The arrested include women and students, heightening the anger.

Restrictions also imposed in Lucknow, capital of northern Uttar Pradesh state.

In New Delhi, authorities imposed a ban on gatherings of more than four people in some of its Muslim-dominated districts.

Police fired shots in the air in a Muslim-dominated part of the capital.

Police also stormed protest in front of New Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia university that left 200 students injured.

Hundreds of people rallied in Mumbai and chanted”We Are All One”.

Protests have also turned violent in West Bengal where many were injured in scuffles.

The UN Secretary-General’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric also expressed concerns on the situation.

The United States’s State Department also urged New Delhi to protect human rights.
