Comprehensive plan for sewerage, drainage & clean water being prepared for Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Karachi is the most important city of Pakistan and all resources will be utilized to deal with the emergency situation in Karachi.

According to details, a review meeting on the progress of federal development projects was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Murad Saeed, senior officers participated and Governor Sindh participated on the video link.

The meeting reviewed in detail the progress on federal projects in Sindh, Karachi. The Governor briefed the Prime Minister about the latest situation in Karachi.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the federal government is aware of development needs and problems of the people of Sindh and Karachi the and the federal government will play its role in this regard.

Imran Khan said that a comprehensive plan is being formulated for Karachi in consultation with stakeholders. A comprehensive plan for sewerage, drainage and clean water is being prepared for Karachi.

He further said that he has instructed the federal agencies to provide relief to the people of Karachi. The Chief Minister Sindh yesterday discussed the situation in Karachi after the rains and assured all possible help from the federation and the agencies.

The Prime Minister said that Karachi is the most important city of Pakistan and all resources would be utilized to deal with the emergency situation in Karachi.
