A soldier was martyred by firing with heavy weapons on Pak-Afghan border.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), heavy weapons were fired from across the border in the Bin Shahi area of the Pak-Afghan border in Dir, killing one FC soldier and injuring two others.
The sources of ISPR said that the tension on the border has martyred one FC soldier and two other soldiers have been injured.
Earlier, While giving a response to the incident at Pakistan-Afghanistan friendship Gate Chaman, Pakistan Foreign office stated that Afghan forces opened unprovoked fire on innocent civilians gathered towards Pakistan’s side of the international border.
Pakistan troops deployed on the posts were also simultaneously engaged by Afghan posts. Pakistan troops responded to protect our local population and acted only in self-defence. It is reiterated that Pakistan Force did not open fire first and responded in self-defence only.
