Pakistan COVID-19: Cases Drops To Less Than Thousand After Four Months

At least 38 deaths and 1,329 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

According the latest statistics by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,601 while the total number of affected people has reached 571,174.

In the country, 534,107 people have recovered from Coronavirus and the number of patients undergoing treatment is 24,466.

The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 5,204 people lost their lives while 4,288 in Sindh, 2,032 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 488 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 199 in Balochistan and In Azad Kashmir, 288 succumbed to the dread virus.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 43,402, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 70,886, in Sindh 255,834, in Punjab 167,345, in Balochistan 18,979, in Azad Kashmir 9,777 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,951 people have been infected with Coronavirus.

During the second wave of corona, the number of positive cases dropped significantly to 3.9 percent. Corona vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase health workers are being vaccinated against corona while people above the age of 63 have also been vaccinated.
