Punjab govt to provide ‘necessary assistance’ to KP for safe city project, assures CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday assured MPAs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that his government will provide all the “necessary assistance” to the provincial government for the establishment of the safe city project, said a press release issued by the CM office.

A delegation of KP parliamentarians’ led by provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai had called on CM Buzdar at his office in Lahore to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The delegation appreciated the steps taken by CM Buzdar for the welfare of the people as well as the promotion of inter-provincial harmony.

“Our delegation has witnessed the spate of the development process in Punjab and we are happy about it,” the MPs were quoted in the news release. They also invited the Punjab CM to visit KP.

Meanwhile, the CM told the delegation that his government did a lot of work in the last three years to “ensure balanced development”.

“The past rulers remained engrossed in lip service while the PTI government has initiated genuine development work in the province to improve the quality of life of the people,” said Buzdar. He also shared that his government is “following the policy of taking other provinces along” so that “composite development” takes place in the country.

The delegation that called on CM Buzdar included KP Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan, special assistant Riaz Khan, MPAs Dr Sumaira Shams, Aasia Khattak, Madiha Nisar, Soomi Falak Naz and others.
