ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s information technology (IT) exports increased to $635 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2021/22, a senior official said.

In a tweet, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said that Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services exports in the first quarter of FY 2021/22 increased to $635 million from July to September, compared with the exports of $445 million during the same period last year, showing an increase of 42 percent on a year-on-year basis.

“I appreciated all the stakeholders for their efforts and dedication,” he said, adding that by seeing how the IT sector is growing, “I am optimistic that we will cross the IT exports target for 2021/22”.
