LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved nine development schemes of various sectors, costing Rs20.884 billion.
The meeting chaired by Planning and Development Board chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal approved water quality monitoring system at a cost of Rs1.40 billion, strengthening of emergency services in all districts at Rs663 million, provision of motorbike ambulance service in 27 districts at Rs984.906 million, Insaaf afternoon schools programme at Rs5.802 billion, establishment of divisional public school at Kubay Chak Tehsil and Sialkot district at Rs550 million, Dilkash Lahore initiative at Rs499.987 million, privatisation of extension services to enhance the service delivery at Rs9.684 billion, establishment of model dairy farm at tehsil Taunsa, DG Khan district at Rs410 million and the construction of 20km long dual carriageway from Kingra to Sialkot (widening/improvement) at the cost of Rs889.113 million.
