Punjab’s economy faces loss of Rs650 billion due to coronavirus: Buzdar

KHANEWAL: The Punjab’s economy faced a loss of Rs650 billion due to coronavirus, a senior official said.

During his visit at the Corona Vaccination Centre, situated at the People’s Colony, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that over 13,000 people died of coronavirus pandemic in the province. Now, the government has decided to vaccinate one million citizens on a daily basis.

He said 14,000 new coronavirus centres were being established in the province to achieve the target. Similarly, the services of 18,000 health teams would also be sought for making the coronavirus campaign successful.

Earlier, Buzdar inaugurated the door-to-door vaccination campaign and appreciated the performance of the district administration and health department Khanewal for imparting best vaccination services.
