LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) have agreed to make joint efforts for the promotion of trade and industry, a statement said.
The decision was made at a meeting of the office-bearers of both the chambers at the LCCI office.
As per the agreement, both chambers will share and exchange all trade-related data for increasing the competitiveness of goods and reducing the cost of doing business.
They will also cooperate in the preparation of proposals for economic development of the country and will conduct joint research studies to develop industries.
Mian Nauman Kabir said that both chambers would forward joint proposals to the federal government for incorporation in the budget.
Efforts would also be made for attracting investment for industrial zones, he said, adding that harmony between the two chambers would help resolve the problems being faced by the business community.
LCCI senior vice president Mian Rehman Aziz Chan, MCCI president Khawaja Muhammad Hussain and senior vice president Suhail Tufail attended the meeting.
