PIEDMC to set up industrial zone in Sialkot

LAHORE: The Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) will set up an industrial zone on 1,000 acres of land in Sialkot, a statement said.

Talking to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Imran Akbar and former president Qaiser Baryar, PIEDMC chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi said that the industrial zone would be set up at Sohawala on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway on the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park model.

He directed the management to present a working paper in the next meeting of the board for final approval.

Like other industrial zones, Hashmi said that the industrial zone in Sialkot would have its own grid station and distribution system for uninterrupted electricity supply.
