LAHORE: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief Saad Rizvi will announce the future action plan of his party on Sunday (tomorrow), the last day of his father Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi’s 3-day death anniversary celebrations here in Lahore, a senior TLP leaders confirmed to Bol News.

“The TLP chief will make an important address to the followers and workers of TLP in which he will announce the future action plan of his party towards reaching their final destination, that is protecting the honour of Holy Prophet (PBUH),” a member of TLP’s Majlis-e-Shoora said.

Rizvi, who was released on Thursday by the law enforcement agencies on the eve of his father’s death anniversary, formally inaugurated the 3-day death anniversary celebrations (or Urs) of TLP founder Allama Khadim Rizvi on Friday along with the members of Majlis-e-Shoora at TLP headquarters located on Multan Road. Saad Rizvi along with members of Majlis-e-Shoora and hundreds of thousand TLP workers attended the opening ceremony by gathering at Khadim Rizvi’s shrine.

Saad was flanked by notable TLP leaders including Allama Shafiq Ameeni, Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah, Qazi Mehmood Awan, Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi, Maulana Farooq Al-Hassan Qadri, Allama Ghulam Ghous Baghdadi, Pir Syed Inayat-ul-Haq Shah and others.

In his speech, the TLP chief paid rich tributes and salutations to the courage, struggle and unmatched sacrifices of TLP workers who, Rizvi said, braved extreme oppression by the state agencies but didn’t back off and kept their struggle alive.

Saad lamented that his workers were heavily baton-charged, tear-gassed and received bullets besides undergoing detentions but they didn’t shy away from their struggle for the truth. “I salute those who received bullets and shells but stood for the flag.”Rizvi said. “This is not our destination and we have a long way to go and we are ready for more sacrifices. This is just the beginning. Who will stop us from reaching the destination when these bullets, grenades and shells failed to stop us from the path leading to our destination,” Rizvi said in a charged tone.

While praising the hundreds of thousands of devotees who thronged to the shrine from all over the country, “Your presence at the death anniversary clearly depicts your immense love for Baba Ji [Allama Khadim].

Law and order situation 

A large number of officials including Police and Rangers are deployed to provide security to the workers and devotees participating in Khadim Rizvi’s death anniversary celebrations. Ambulances of Rescue 1122 and Firebrigade buses were also present at the scene to deal with any sort of law and order situation or emergencies.

One of the junior police officials, who was deputed at the main entrance told Bol News that although the workers were charged up, they did not resort to any violent measures and were cooperating with the law enforcement agencies including police and rangers.
