LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK) on Monday arrested four people allegedly involved in illegal Hawala and Hundi business in Peshawar and Malakand Divisions.

According to FIA officials, in the four raids it conducted, four accused namely – Usman Shahzad, Tariq Jamel, Muhammad Akram and Khan Muhammad were arrested.
Pakistani currency amounting to millions of rupees, receipts of Hawala and Hundi, while foreign currency – 4450 Saudi Riyal, 50 Pound Sterling, 1000 Euros and 3300 Afghani currency – were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

FIRs under Foreign Regulation Action 1947 and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010 have been registered against the accused.
