Prime Minister Imran Khan said the government’s timely actions to contain the current account deficit bearing fruit as it shrinks to only $0.5 billion in February, $2 billion lower than in January, and the lowest monthly deficit so far in the current fiscal year.

Taking to Twitter, the premier shared the news on Saturday and said, Timely actions to contain current account deficit bear fruit. [The] Deficit shrank to only $0.5bn in Feb,$2bn lower than in Jan & lowest monthly deficit so far this fiscal yr.”

“Exports close to all-time high & imports down 21% from their peak & strong growth in large scale manufacturing.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to perform the groundbreaking of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project today.

The 38.3 kilometres long Ring Road will comprise six lanes, and an interchange will also be constructed.

Rawalpindi Ring Road project will help ease traffic flow in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The project will also provide job opportunities and promote economic activities.
