Investigators believe the Chinese passenger jet that crashed into a mountain this year, killing all 132 people on board, was deliberately crashed by the captain or an intruder.

Human input led the China Eastern Boeing 737-800 into a nosedive as it plunged to the ground in the mountainous Guangxi province on March 21, according to flight data collected from the plane’s black box.

After failing to identify any mechanical defects that caused China’s biggest aviation tragedy in 28 years, experts conclude that only murder-suicide could explain how the plane ended up on a near vertical trajectory.

During the quick descent, the pilots did not reply to numerous requests from air traffic controllers and surrounding planes, according to police.

‘The plane did what it was told to do by someone in the cockpit,’ a source told the Wall Street Journal.

While the pilot is the primary suspect, investigators aren’t ruling out the possibility of a crew member or passenger infiltrating the flight deck and seizing control.
