Outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki praised President Biden on Thursday, referring to his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, as “the great MAGA monarch.”During her regular press conference, Jacqui Heinrich questioned Psaki if the president’s words were uniting.

“Well, I would say that the president is not hesitant to call out what he perceives to be extreme ideas that are out of step with where the American people are,” Psaki replied.

“And whether that is supporting a tax plan that will raise taxes on 75 million Americans earning less than $100,000 per year, or whether it is supporting efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, which was supported by two-thirds of the American people in a Fox News poll, and there are countless examples from there.”

“The president feels there is more work we can do together,” she added. “An excellent illustration of this is nonpartisan creativity. But, once again, he will not sit back and watch as people push for extreme ideas that are not in the interests or supported by the great majority of Americans.”
