In Peshawar and other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall of different intensities occurred along with mountain snowfall. Experts anticipate this wet weather to persist intermittently from Monday evening through Tuesday.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westward wind pattern dominates the western and upper regions of Pakistan. It is expected to strengthen over the next 12 hours.

Under these conditions, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Bajaur, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Waziristan, Karak, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan are likely to experience intermittent rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in hilly areas on Monday evening and night. Upper districts may witness moderate to heavy rain or snowfall, with isolated hailstorms also possible during this period.

Tuesday is expected to bring further rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in hilly areas like Kohistan, Shangla, Abbottabad, and Mansehra. However, the rest of the province is likely to experience cold and dry weather.

Heavy rain or snowfall could lead to road closures in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, and Hunza from Monday to Tuesday. There is also a possibility of landslides in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during this forecast period.

Peshawar is expected to experience minimum temperatures ranging from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and from 7 to 9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
