UAE residents are rejoicing as they celebrate Eid Al Fitr in various locations such as streets, parks, malls, and markets, enjoying the year’s longest break of nine holidays.

On the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, authorities across different emirates in the UAE have announced free parking for specific days.

The Integrated Transport Centre of Abu Dhabi has declared that public parking in the city will be free of charge from Monday, April 8, until Sunday, April 14, in honor of Eid al-Fitr. Paid parking will resume on Monday, April 15.

In Dubai, motorists have been benefiting from free parking since Sunday, April 7 (a regular no-pay parking day), and this will continue until Friday, April 12, granting them six days of complimentary parking. Tariffs will be reinstated on Saturday, April 13.

According to Khaleej Times, the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah has announced that parking will be free on the first, second, and third days of Eid al-Fitr. Residents will not be required to pay for parking on Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12.

However, charges will remain applicable at parking zones with blue signboards, which are subject to fees on all days of the week, including Fridays and public holidays.

From Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3, residents will be exempt from parking fees in all parking lots. Therefore, parking will be complimentary from Wednesday, April 10, to Friday, April 12. Regular tariffs will resume on Saturday, April 13.
