Users appreciate Apple iPhones for their sturdy design, intuitive interface, and the array of services available through the App Store.

The iPhone 12 series, introduced in 2020, brought significant hardware and camera upgrades. It embraces 5G technology for faster connectivity and wider coverage. Fueled by the A14 Bionic chip, these devices deliver enhanced performance and efficiency, boasting OLED displays and Ceramic Shield protection for durability.

In Pakistan, there’s a thriving market for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is often imported in used condition from abroad by traders.

Earlier this year, the Directorate of Customs Valuation in Karachi reevaluated the customs valuation of old and used mobile phones, including the iPhone 12 Pro Max, following demands from importers who highlighted that these devices were acquired from auctions or second-hand markets without packaging or accessories.

After engaging with stakeholders and conducting market surveys, the directorate issued Valuation Ruling Number 1858/024, announcing a revised customs valuation of $425 per unit for old and used mobile phones like the iPhone 12 Pro Max, devoid of packaging and accessories. Duty and taxes will now be calculated based on this revised customs valuation.
