The River Ravi has suffered immensely from drought. Its water level is decreasing daily, after which many poor people have been living on its land. Unfortunately, very few boats are seen moving in Lahore’s main water body and have been abandoned due to a lack of water. Street children are often seen playing near these damaged boats parked at the bank. Moreover, visitors and residents in the area often litter or dump their garbage in and around the river, causing pollution. Dogs looking for food are often seen in the area. Meanwhile, the mafia continues to extract sand from the river land.
