Sindh government failed to provide budget to police in its own province.
According to the finance department of Sindh, 89 billion 90 crore was allocated for Sindh Police during the year 2018-19.
Sindh Government allocated Rs 1290 millions for officer’s uniforms.
Sindh Government has just given Rs 400 million to the Police department, sources said

Sources added, Sindh Government has not provided 30% of the operational budget to Sindh Police.

Sindh Police was provided Rs 24.7 million instead of 750 million in other expenses, Sources also said
The department could not buy modern weapons due to lack of budget while the department can also not afford small weapons.
They could not even buy a vehicle this year.

The Sindh government has not even started the Safe City Project for the last three years, sources informed

Earlier, the Sindh Police formally inaugurated a new mobile application to facilitate the people of Karachi.

Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi, Dr Ameer Ahmed Sheikh, and other senior officers of the Sindh Police attended the launching ceremony in Karachi.

The mobile application, Police 4 U, can be downloaded from Google App Play store. People can use this application to register their complaint immediately.
