Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government believes in upholding rule of law.

According to the details, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan was addressing a press conference on saturday along with Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan in Islamabad, she said that the government is waiting for the detailed verdict of Lahore High Court on ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s ECL plea.

She added that the government will set its priorities according to the law and the constitution. Firdous also said that government always respected the court verdicts.

Dr. Firdous said that health issue of PML – N supremo was a humanitarian matter and it should not be made political and legal issue. The special assistan to the Prime Minister also said that a legal and constitutional issue was used for political gains.

Dr Firdous said that the government never did politics on the health of Nawaz Sharif and added that they facilitated him at every level.

She also said that the indemnity bond was the demand of federal cabinet because of the track-record of the Sharif’s.

Earlier, the Lahore high court ordered to remove former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from Exit control list, and allowed him to travel abroad.

Former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had submitted a written affidavit guaranteeing the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif before the court announced its decision.

The Lahore High Court on Saturday asked for a written affidavit from the Sharif family guaranteeing that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after receiving treatment,
