MQM-London ‘target killer’ arrested

Police have arrested another target killer named Yousaf who is associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London wing.

SSP East Ghulam Azfar Mohaisar said that, “The arrested target killer was affiliated with MQM-London and was involved in the killing of 96 people.

Yousaf, who was also known Theylay wala was arrested on Wednesday by Anti-Street Crime Squad District East and Soldier Bazaar Police.

While making revelations during the investigation, Yousaf joined MQM in 1995 and admits of killing 96 people.

The suspect, during interrogation, revealed that he along with his colleagues Nadeem Marble, and others, killed two brothers Asif and Kashif from Hanifabad on suspicion of kidnapping, after which the mother of the boys lost her mental stability.

When the police records were checked after the suspect’s disclosure, FIRs of murder and abduction were found in the police station in Mominabad, in which most of the cases are pending due to the absence of any accused in these cases and several FIRs.

It was revealed that the suspect was first arrested by the Rangers in 1996 and released on bail in 1997. The accused was again arrested in 1998 by Mominabad police in connection with 2 murder and illicit arms case and the accused resorted to parole in 2003 and hid after being released on parole.

Sindh Home Department has also issued orders for the arrest of the accused. The accused was believed to be a symbol of fear in the District West.

The suspect is a close associate of the target killer Abdul Salam Irfan alias Masa, who was arrested by Soldier Bazar police a few days ago in the target killing of 111 people.
