Pakistani army troops also damaged Indian posts in the Haji Pir sector and killed three Indian soldiers in response to the Indian ceasefire violation.
The response was made in the past 36 hours, reported by ISPR.
It should be remembered that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had visited the LoC in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. He had said that armed forces are “fully prepared to thwart any misadventure” or violence for the defense of the country.
According to the tweet by DG ISPR, the army chief had quoted, “Our quest for peace must never be misconstrued as weakness”.
Indian and Pakistani forces had exchanged fires in some areas at LoC. Army chief’s visit came after this incident.
The army’s media department had reported on Saturday that heavy casualties and damages were made in India when the Pakistan army responded to violations.
