PTI Government believes in Freedom of Press, says Dr. Firdous

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said the government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf believes in free press, however no one is above the law.

Addressing media in Islamabad, Dr Firdous said linking the arrest of private media group owner Mir Shakeel ur Rahman’s arrest with present government in totally wrong.

She said The media is our source of guidance.  We need national solidarity right now. Institutions are acting impartially  .

She said It is the responsibility of the NAB to present evidence in the courts.

Dr Firdous said The people have chosen Imran Khan to ensure regulation of law in the country.
