Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurate the first ever teleschool in the history of Pakistan that has been help students to minimize their study loss during the lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the inauguration of Pakistan’s first teleschool said that no final date can be given regarding the elimination of COVID-19 so children can learn from the tele-school channel.

He said that he wished that the education channel would continue to educate children even after the Coronavirus epidemic.

It should be noted that the government has already signed a contract with Pakistan Television (PTV) under which the ‘Television School’ TV channel has launched.

Ministry of Education stated that the content of the channel has been aligned with the learning objectives of the students for major subjects which has included in the curriculum.

The ministry of education further stated that Pakistan Television (PTV) had been selected as the broadcast medium because 95% of the population across the country had access to its services.

Sources said there will be eight hours of broadcasting to promote education through the PTV channel.

Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that according to the agreement, the channel allocated will commence work in the next three months to promote education.

The  broadcasting will continue between 8am and 6pm, he said.

The TV channel is an alternative method of providing educational content after the coronavirus outbreak to reduce the educational losses of students, he said.
