Special Flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-8230 brought back 141 stranded Pakistanis to Lahore from Oman’s capital Muscat

Upon landing at the Lahore airport, the flight disinfected and the passengers went through a screening process and later shifted to the quarantine facility.

Another flight PK-8232 is scheduled to bring back 140 more stranded Pakistanis to Lahore from Muscat today (Friday). The flight will reach Lahore at 4:00pm. The government of Pakistan has started a series of special flights to repatriate Pakistanis stranded in various countries due to the suspension of flight operation in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

On the other hand, PIA’s fourth flight carrying 250 passengers left New Jersey for Lahore. Consul General Ayesha Ali bid farewell to passengers from Airport. The Consulate also reviewed the steps taken at the airport to protect passengers from any harm of the virus.

Speaking on the occassion Consul General Ayesha Ali said The return of Pakistanis is the first priority of the government and the embassy. She also said that A special flight from New Jersey to Islamabad will be operated on June 1. In addition to this, she said that this will the fifth flight from the United States to Pakistan.

Earlier on 16th May; Over 250 stranded Pakistanis have returned to Islamabad from Iraq through a special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.

Screening of passengers conducted through a screening process and taken to the quarantine facility. The flight also disinfected after landing. Passengers will permitted to go their homes once they test negative for coronavirus.
