Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired Corps Commanders Conference today (July 21).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) COAS chaired the Corps Commanders Conference today and discussed the regional security situation.
The ISPR also said, the 233rd Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During the conference, the Chief of Army Staff was briefed on the prevention of coronavirus disease and control of locust.
The sources said that internal and external security concerns were also discussed in the conference.

The official tweet wrote, “233rd Corps Commanders’ Conference, presided by COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa held today at GHQ. Forum reviewed operational readiness & evolving threat spectrum in context of external & internal security of the country.”
The sources said that COAS complimented efforts put in by all formations to maintain high level of combat readiness particularly in the wake of evolving regional security situation.
DG ISPR also said, “Taking special note of continued atrocities in IOJ&K as illegal actions of August 5, 2019 complete one year next month, forum paid tribute to brave Kashmiris for their legitimate struggle for freedom. COAS especially lauded efforts in aid of civil administration in fight against COVID -19 and LOCUST.”

COAS expressed complete satisfaction with overall operational readiness of Army as the forum reiterated resolve to thwart any threat to Pakistan’s security, the statement said.
