PMD predicts rain-wind-thundershower in upper Punjab today
Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country...
From today, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and thunder in Karachi. As per details, a low-pressure area has formed around the Kutch.
PMD’s director Sardar Sarfaraz said,
“The spell would last two days during which heavy rainfall is expected in the metropolis tonight and Friday morning preceded by dusty winds.”
The strong winds are expected to be about 50-60 km/hour with rain predicted to fall between 20-30 millimeters, according to the official.
The PMD, in today’s daily weather update, reported that over western Balochistan lies a seasonal lo while moist currents penetrate the central and upper parts of the country.
“Rain-wind-thundershower is expected in upper/central Punjab Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower Sindh, Northeast Balochistan Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday.”
The advisory added,
“Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.”
