In order to stop the spread of coronavirus, a micro-smart lockdown has been implemented in Lahore, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi for 14 days.

According to the health department, the micro-smart lockdown has been imposed on 19 areas of Lahore, two in Gujranwala, and three in Rawalpindi. The exit points will be restricted and patrolled by the police.

The decision of implementing a micro-smart lockdown was taken after an increase in coronavirus cases was reported in the areas.

According to details, 19,538 residents of Lahore, Rawalpindi’s 947, and Gujranwala’s 53 people will be under lockdown.

Earlier in July, the Punjab government had decided to implement Smart Lockdown in the province to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Under the decision, markets, bazaars, and plazas were closed for business.
