On Sunday, the chief of Army Staff (COAS) Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met President Arif Alvi.
According to the details, the meeting took place after the military awards ceremony at the Presidency. During the meeting between the two, issues related to national security and defence were discussed.
President Arif Ali also praised Pakistan Army’s services in controlling coronavirus and locust attacks in the country.
While appreciating the Pakistan Army, President Alvi said,
“The Armed Forces of Pakistan is the guarantor of defense and security.”
On the other hand, the issues related to internal security were also discussed during the meeting.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar also met with President Arif Alvi. The informal meeting followed the awards ceremony

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa while attending the Military Awards Ceremony at General Headquarters Rawalpindi on Sunday presented awards to the officers and men who showed courage in the line of duty.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the chief guest of the ceremony. During the ceremony, 40 officers were awarded Sitara e Imtiaz while 24 officers were awarded Tamgha Basalat (Medal of Good Conduct).
Families of martyred and present service officers attended the ceremony. The medals of martyrs were received by their families. Earlier today (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the martyrs’ monument on account of Defence Day and laid a floral wreath.
